Stannard's Vermont State monument at Gettysburg, PA. Brig. General George Stannard is featured with a missing right arm. Although he did not lose his arm until after Gettysburg, the missing arm is symbolic of the Vermont losses at Gettysburg. Dedicated October 9, 1889.
