TWAIN PLAYMATE TO SPEAK.

Mrs. Frazer Will Tell by Radio of Humorist's Boyhood.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., Jan. 22 (AP). - Betty [sic] Thatcher, childhood companion of Mark Twain, will speak over the radio. She is now Mrs. Laura Frazer of Hannibal, Mo.

At 88 years of age Mrs. Frazer, whom Samuel Clemens used as the sweetheart of his creation of fiction, Tom Sawyer, will tell of the boyhood of Missouri's illustrious humorist at the annual meeting of the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce Jan. 28.

The program from 8 to 10 P.M. will be broadcast by State radio station WOS.
