The San Francisco Daily Morning Call, September 23, 1864

 

ARRESTED FOR RIOT. - Chief Burke and posse yesterday arrested three or the more turbulent spirits among the disaffected steamship hands, who are on a strike on account of the reduction of wages. The men were arrested on Folsom street wharf, for attempting to incite a riot. They were admitted to bail in the sum of $100 each, for their appearance at the Police Court this morning.
