The San Francisco Daily Morning Call, July 30, 1864

AFTER SUNDRIES. - Suit was commenced yesterday, in the Fifteenth District Court, by Michael Cellar, who seeks to recover from the defendant, John Doe, whose real name is not known, (never christened, probably) a list of furniture and household goods as long as the moral law. The schedule comprises every article needful in the economy of housekeeping, aggregating in value nine hundred dollars. Plaintiff demands possession of the property, or its value, and damages for its retention, in the sum of five hundred dollars.
