SAVAGE LITTLE "CALL"

The blood-thirsty little Call, referring to a statement made by the New York Tribune to the effect that the colored people of Louisiana intend to send a delegation to Congress to ask for the extension of the right of suffrage to them, says this measure is suicidal, and adds: "To send such a delegation to Congress will be to recklessly arouse all the deepest passions of the country, and to inaugurate a dispute that can only end with the almost complete obliteration of the black race." The wicked little Call talks about "obliterating" the black race as coolly as it would about scratching out an ink spot.
